Flickr is not just a tool for the serious photographer. Amateur
photographers and enthusiasts can also make great use of this service
and it competes with services like Picasa and Facebook photos. It has also added a slew of new features over
the years. A mobile app for this service is the best way to share the
photos that you click on your phone. So far, Flickr only had an official
iPhone app but not for Android causing users to go to third party
providers. This dilemma has now been solved by Yahoo as it released an official Android client for Flickr.
All in all, it is a very decent app and it works very smoothly. The only drawback with this app is that you cannot add the pictures to ‘sets’ which helps to distinguish between you mobile pics and the ones taken from your digital camera. You can grab this app from the Android Market for free. When you search for the app from your phone, please make sure that the app is published by Yahoo Inc. as there are many third party apps for Flickr.
